On the Drinfeld moduli problem of p-divisible groups

Abstract: Drinfeld considered the moduli problem of _special formal O_D-modules_ and showed that it is representable by the Drinfeld-Deligne formal model of the p-adic Drinfeld halfspace. I will discuss a generalization of this result. This is joint work with Th. Zink, and incorporates work of P. Scholze.
